Island of Kaprije
Kaprije island is one of the jewels of unspoiled nature. Named after the spice, capers, it is a quiet island with no traffic, a prefect place for relaxing and enjoying the sun. The only village, Kaprije, has several bars and restaurants offering exceptionally delicious, freshly caught fish, prepared in the traditional manner and the most excellent wines.
Some of the most interesting sights to be seen on the island are the remains of WWII lookouts, bunkers and buildings, and a sank German ship, Francesca da Rimini, on the bottom of the 55m deep sea.
