Lastovo

Whole city of Lastovo is a living testimony to the reinessance architecture and the amphitheatral construction. Stone built houses and narrow streets running between them are filled with mediterranean spirit and reveal an interesting detail on most of the Lastovo houses, charming chimneys of various colors and shapes, which became symbol of Lastovo centuries ago.
Another tradition of Lastovo is Lastovski Poklad, three day event featuring traditional dressing and having wooden swords equipped, and, as such, is an unique event in the world. Lastovo - the island of music, is a festival that started out as a modest jazz concert. The event today attracts many world wide musicians and fans alike. It is the only summer music festival in Croatia being held in a park of nature.
