Pomena

Pomena is one of the younger villages on the island. It has been founded by the fishermen of nearby village of Govedari, who used this lovely and well proteced bay to keep their fishing tools and nets at.
In the last decade, Pomena started gaining on relevance as a tourist attraction, mostly due to the new hotel being built and the vicintiy of Veliko and Malo jezero, which make it a favorable starting point for seeing the sights of National park Mljet.
