Vela luka

Vela luka is a place of tradition and arts. Cultural centre in the village holds Sv. Josip church, museum, gallery and the library. Several valuable collections are being exhibited, with archaeological, graphics and wooden model ships being the most notable.
Most visited and attractive places of cultural relevance are archaeological site Vela Spilja, austrian fort Fortezza in Hum, Brkan cross, Sv. Vincent chuch and the Sv. Josip church's organ. Kumpanija, the traditional, medieval dance is being held every year, in March,  honouring the rich tradition of the island.
