Sobra

Sobra has been used by the locals of Babino polje as a port, for centuries. After WWI, the village started growing at the bottom of a beautiful, sheltered bay, into a major port, the biggest on the island. Sobra, today, is an important tourist centre, mostly thanks to the old austrian road and mountain pass which both start near the village, leading all the way up, to the breathtaking viewpoint over Blatine.
