Novi Vinodolski
Novi Vinodolski, holding one of the most important monuments of Croatian nation, the "Vinodolski zakon", has its name mentioned in the document for the very first time, in 1288. Once a Roman fortress, Lopsica is situated in southern part of the cityand is a sight worth visiting. Other highly interesting symbols of Novi vinodolski are the 36m tall St. Filip and Jakov church belltower and the church of St. Trinity, built in the 15th century. The great earthquake that struck the area in 1750 destroyed a huge part of the old city and many important historical monuments.
