Novigrad

Even though the name suggests different, Novigrad, meaning the new city, is one of the older and most important towns in the ancient history of Istria. Near the place where Mirna river flows into the sea, Novigrad started out as an island, but in the 18th century, its citizens connected it to the mainland.
