Island of Unije
Biggest among the islands surrounding Losinj, Unije has only one village and just a few permanent residents. There are no cars allowed on the island, making it a perfect place to spend you holidays in harmony with the nature. The north and east sides of the island are sheer and rocky, covered in pine trees, while the southern and western side of the island form a bay, home to the village and a small airport. Unije is very popular for sailors, who often take advantage of the sheltering bays around the island and anchor there.
