Island of Drvenik Mali
Drvenik Mali, aslo known as the Ploca island, as named by its residents, is a small island with only around 50 permanent residents. As such it stnad as a remarkably preserved trophy of nature, surrounded by attractive beaches and clear blue sea. Shallow sea and the diverse coast made the island famous for diving and spearfishing long time ago. Island is covered in maquis and pine woods, specially on the south side, while the norther part of the island is bare and hardly accessible. Olive tree and carob grows of the finest quality are the island's trademarks. Borak is the main settlement on the island and its port is the island's main connection with the mainland. Vela Rina, is the other well known place on the island, famous for it's highly attractive sandy beach.
