Makarska

The Makarska riviera is one of the most attractive and beautiful in Europe. Long sandy and pebble beaches  are shaded by pine, and many summer bars offer refreshments where ever you go.
Hisotry of the city is traced back to 533AD, when the settlement of Muccurum was built on the area. Several old churches reflect the life in history, with the most interesting being Sv. Marko church built in 1766. Makarska aquired a fresh water source with the building of Venetian well in 1775, which can still be seen on the main city squre, between Kacic monument and church. Sv. Petar peninsula is a special attraction itself. In the evening, club located in its cave starts the show, making Makarska nightlife extremely interesting and vivid.
