Maslinica

Maslinica is a home of the famous Marchi castle. Being settled around the castle, Maslinica's past reaches back to the 18th century, when the castle was built, as a defensive fort. Reconstructed in 2001, the castle is nowdays an important cultural destination. Small, but fully equipped marina has been built in the castle, contributing its appeal even further. On the biggest of Solta's seven islands, Stipanska, you can still see the remains of the ancient, early christian, church and the benedictine monastery built in period between 5th and 6th century.
