Necujam
Since the 4th century, when roman emperor Diocletian had built his fishpond and theremes in Piskera bay, Necujam has been known as a peacful place, place of relaxation and art. Beautiful bay stll holds the remains of ancient roman buildings, which are now submerged. Picturesque landscape had also been an inspiration for many Croatian writters in their work, and there is an artist's colony being held annually in September, gathering many of the greatest Croatian artists.
