Pucisca
Pucisca is a small village named after the latin word of puteus, meaing the well. Brackish water sources nearby were used since the anicient times for cattle to drink from. A huge quarry, Veselje, is the main source of living for locals for centuries. Obviously, for the same reason, whole village is a picturesque sight of stone-built houses cut through with narrow streets, situated at the bottom of a very friendly bay. In Pucisca, there is also an old stonemasonry school teaching the ancient proffesion. Fascinatingly, there were 13 forts in Pucicsa during the medieval times and the village is know as the "Port of forts" ever since.
