Komiza

Filled with Mediterranean spirit, charming small town of Komiza is a home to over 1,500 people. Local fishermen are not only famous nationally, in Croatia, but all over the world, and so is their ship, gajeta. Gajeta is a traditional fishing ship, used by the locals to hunt tuna, lobster and other high quality sea food that the area is rich with. Komiza is surrounded with lovely pebble beaches, shaded by pine trees, many of which contain precious fresh water sources, which enable people to enjoy this beautiful part of the island for tens of centuries.
