Baska

Baska lies on the southeast of the island Krk. Mostly known for its wonderful, over a mile long semi-circular sandy beach, it is also a home to the extremely valuable Bascanska ploca. That ancient, very first Croatian recored document was made here in 1100. In Baska, there are many interesting cultural sites to see, as well as the fascinating examples of the fine medieval mediterranean architecture.
