Island of Zlarin
Zlarin's history is closely connected to the extraction of corals, starting from the 15th century. At the time, people of zlarin were the best in business, and have been living off diving corals and selling them, ever since. There is a Zlarin coral museum in the village, where you can purchase the jewelry made from corals and observe the complete production process. The beautiful island also a home to the famous Anthony Maglica, founder of Maglite company, world's most popular flashlight. Interestingly, Tony had bought a significant part of the island and now owns 12% of it. The only village, Zlarin, has many cultural attractions as well, and almost 130m long riva, the longest on any island in Croatia.
